On a normal day, between WhatsApp and email, coffee and more coffee and one more... I came across a message that flashed in the middle of the routine.
A customer wrote to me: "Hey, I once bought a perforated board from you and now I can't find them on the website.. Are there any more? 😟.
I've had it for so many years!!!"
She went on to tell how this board, beyond being convenient and practical, became a part of her home, changing roles: from a jewelry rack and a board with photos and a chippex to a decorative key board at the entrance to the house.
She talked about how her sister and a friend also bought such boards, and now she was looking for another one for the children's room, and expressed surprise and a little disappointment to find out that the boards are no longer available. But in the meantime, she also expressed understanding and appreciation: "Seriously, I understand. A business is progressing and developing and it's not always possible to go back and buy more of the same product. Thank you in any case for a durable and high-quality product. I'm sure the one I have will continue to serve us for years to come."
This message reminded me that there is nothing more beautiful than knowing that I have created something that becomes a beloved and integral part of someone else's life.
She made me smile and realize that even the simplest products we create can add so much value and love to people's lives.
The fact that this board, beyond being practical, has become a center of family memories, a witness to the changes and small moments that make up life, warms my heart. It reminds me that my work as a creator, even though I have turned my focus to other areas, remains with a significant and lasting impact. Every time I think about the products I designed in the past, and the new way in which I now influence people's lives through accompaniment, websites, and training, I understand deep in my heart that the goal remains the same - to touch, influence, and add value.
My journey teaches me every day anew the importance of human connection and the possibility to influence and add value to the lives of others.
Today, I find myself focusing on the same design principles that guided me in the past - as a web designer, I strive to bring the same attention to details and deep connection with customers and users, to create user experiences that speak to the heart and soul. As a small business lender, I listen to stories and dreams, trying to find the best way to make them a reality. And as a personal training student, I learn how to ask the right questions and encourage in a way that will allow people to progress and grow in every area of their lives.
This story is a wonderful reminder of the power we have to leave a mark on the lives of others, and how exciting it is and fills me with love and pride for being able to be a part of it.
